History
Jesse Brown’s began in 1970 as a small mountaineering shop in Greer SC. The shop was founded by a pilot that was introduced to specialty outdoor shops through his travels in Manhattan & the Northeast. At the time, there were no other shops of this kind in the Southeast.

In the early 1970’s Jesse Brown’s was moved from Greer to Charlotte NC to access a larger Charlotte market. Through the years, Jesse Brown’s has grown with prominent brands such as The North Face (we’re NC’s 1st dealer) & Patagonia; and being an early retailer for the sport of fly fishing in our region (our fly shop is a huge part of our business).

Jesse Brown's continues to grow in the Charlotte area with a shop in Ballantyne Village. These shops which expand the range of Jesse Brown's reach, aid in the overall company mission, extending to more customers than ever before. We continue to seek out new, innovative brands & sports that revolve around escape, active lifestyle & comfort. What’s on the horizon?
